This is the unit that technicians in the field would use to diagnose and troubleshoot Atari arcade game PCBs at a component level. This unit has come from my personal collection and although I know I will never be able to find another one, it's time to let someone else enjoy it. The condition of this unit is best described as time-warp mint.I don't think there are any fingerprints on it except mine. The diagnostic connector looks like it has never seen a PCB. I have powered the unit up using a power supply as ALL Cat Box were 110V. In the absence of a step down transformer, this is the best I can do.
The unit responds to user input as expected but has not been further tested. The downside is that the manual is missing as is the original'data' cable. A normal scope probe is a suitable and more appropriate replacement. The item "RARE Atari CAT BOX Computer Assisted Troubleshooter for Arcade Games 1981" is in sale since Monday, May 4, 2020.
